Women and Children First: Saving Mothers and Infants in Africa
Forest Whitaker is one of Hollywood's most accomplished actors, directors and producers, and has showcased his talents in a multitude of demanding and diverse roles. He has received numerous awards, including the Cannes Film Festival best actor award, Golden Globe, BAFTA, SAG, and NAACP Image Award, and 18 critics awards, among others. He received the Academy Award for his portrayal of Ugandan dictator Idi Amin. Forest has done extensive humanitarian work and has twice received both the Humanitas Prize and Vision Award. He has been bestowed Doctorate Degrees from: The North Carolina School of The Arts, Manhattanville College and Xavier University. Forest was given a Chieftaincy title from the Igbo tribe of Nkwerre in Nigeria in April 2009.
